September 11th 2001 changed the course of many lives including my own. 3 weeks prior I had signed up for the army national guard so that I could continue the 3 generation army tradition in my family.
July 2004, the Army National Guard unit that I was a part of deployed as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 18 long, unbearably hot months later we returned home. Many returning soldiers came home with a new outlook on life. I was newly married and looking for direction.
July 2006-After many failed career attempts, I realized that in all my life, the one thing I hated was being hot. Air conditioning was the answer, HVAC was going to be my new career. I had found my purpose, I entered the labor workforce.
July 2017-Upon completing the largest HVAC job of my career (NEW HOTEL). I find myself at a crossroads in my career. I have peaked in my field, and find myself looking to help out others while maintaining my core family values. Looking back, I realized that everything I have and appreciate is due to my military career in one way or another. I believe that our returning soldiers, marines, airmen, and seamen are a huge part in what makes us great. I want to help out our heroes in uniform more than I am able working for someone else.
